Katie Vann: Digital Media Strategist

Katie Vann is the Communications Strategist – Digital Media at the Center for Effective Government. Her work includes coordinating the organization's online presence and implementing creative social media campaigns to increase awareness.

Prior to working at the Center for Effective Government, Katie oversaw communications for Compassion Over Killing, a national nonprofit animal protection organization.

Katie has also worked as the Annual Fund Manager for an animal shelter in Green Bay, WI, where she organized major fundraising events, managed marketing initiatives, and made weekly television and radio appearances with shelter pets.

A graduate of the University of Wisconsin, Katie holds a B.A. in Journalism and Strategic Communications. When not at work, she enjoys taking her dog on runs through Rock Creek Park, visiting family in Wisconsin, playing on a rec football league, and traveling.
