Ready, Set, Report

FederalReporting.gov opened up for business today. Prime recipients and first-tier sub recipients of Recovery Act funds can now begin reporting on their use of those funds. The site is the central location where recipients of federal Recovery Act dollars can submit their Recovery Act-required reports on what they did with the money and how many jobs their projects created.
The recipient reports entered into FederalReporting.gov will be replicated on Recovery.gov and available for viewing and downloading on Oct. 11, one day after the first round recipient reports are due. The data that recipients report may be inaccurate or incomplete, but Recovery Board chair Early Devaney has said that "Data integrity is the job of this board. Data quality is the job of OMB, working with federal agencies to correct errors or misinformation in recipient reports.''
